Jade Smith is a London-based photographer, director, and filmmaker whose work is motivated by an enduring obsession with image-making as a way of understanding the world.

In project Pride of Britain, launched at Photo Book Cafe, Jade captured raw and authentic portraits of the UK’s LGBTQIA+ communities and grassroots pride movements. Working up and down the country, Jade's goal is to grow the project, over the course of ten years, in to an enduring archive of work that shows how diverse and multi-faceted queer identity is in Britain today.
