Melissa Schriek visits designer Iris van Herpen at her Amsterdam atelier to capture large scale aerial sculpture ‘Embers of the Mind’. Translating the unique sculptural qualities of her designs from the body to the air, van Herpen uses innovative techniques in tulle and silk to create a lava-like sense of three dimensionality.
