Driven by a natural interest in people, Wendy began photographing on the street, working intuitively and spontaneously to approach subjects. This would develop in to Arcades Magazine, a title focusing on the culture and lifestyle of a different city suburb with each issue. 

Now in its fourth issue, she says that “Arcades is a way for me to talk about marginalised communities that we often misrepresent, as well as the social and spatial inequalities that exist within a city and it’s suburbs”.

As part of the ESEA community in London, Wendy is keen to use her work to raise awareness of stigmatisation. Successfully pitching her series, Portraits of East and South-East Asian Women, to The Guardian, Wendy went on to develop this project further on behalf of Libération in Spring 2022. The series focuses on women across London, presenting an honest and joyful picture of the community.


An avid runner and active participant in sport herself, Wendy is also passionate about the way that movement can bring people together. This has led to a number of commissions from global sports brands including Adidas, Asics, Nike, and On Running, and a commission to capture the notoriously 

brutal ultramarathon La Diagonale des Fous for 

Wendy's documentary practice is underpinned by preparation, enjoying the research, production, and the intensity required to develop a profound relationship with a subject.
