Born in Paris, and now based in London, photographer Wendy Huynh’s work uses portraiture, documentary, and fashion to explore contemporary representations of identity, culture, and place.
Alongside her photographic practice, Wendy is Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Arcades, an independent publication on the culture and lifestyle of the suburbs. The title focuses on a different city suburb with each issue, including Paris, London, and Berlin to date. Wendy says that “Arcades is a way for me to talk about marginalised communities that we often misrepresent, as well as the social and spatial inequalities that exist within a city and it’s suburbs”.
