Born in Kassel, Germany, Arno Stern has dedicated his life’s work to the teaching of painting, without constraints or competition, as a tool for play and expression. His interest in the area began when in 1946, he began work teaching at an orphanage for war orphans, with his findings going on to form the basis for well known scientific theory - Semiology of Expression.
