Alice Zoo shoots twenty portraits of the UK’s brightest young literary stars for Granta Magazine’s Best of Young British Novelists issue, showcasing the work of twenty promising writers under forty.

Published once in a decade, the list has both predicted and reflected shifts in literary culture, highlighting and helping to propel some of our most well known authors. Each portrait was accompanied by new work from each of the authors selected for the list.
