Bready
Equal parts travelogue, and sociological experiment, Mirka Laura Severa's baguette-shaped Bready is a seasoned traveller. At once strange, humorous, and sincere, Bready asks us to reconsider what it means to belong.
Originally created by spatial designer Matylda Krzyskowski, Bready and Mirka have travelled the world, filming spontaneous video and capturing candid moments, to create an archive of fleeting and funny human connections.
From Las Vegas to Benidorm, Paris to countless unnamed corners of the world, Bready continues to travel. Bready hasn’t returned to Berlin - Matylda hasn’t seen Bready since. But this absence only adds to the myth.
Over time, Bready has evolved. No longer an object, but not quite a person. Not a he, not a she, not a they - just Bready. A traveler. A symbol. A sociological experiment. A conversation starter. Bready invites interaction, curiosity, and connection - becoming whatever people project onto this soft, bread-like form.
