Clara Nebeling’s images are characterised by a sense of playfulness, personality, and fun. A large part of Clara’s ethos is rooted in using her photography as a force for positive change, bringing people together, and blending creativity with a dedication to social and environmental causes.
In German Folklore (originally conceived for Indie Magazine), Clara travelled the length and breadth of her home country to photograph the people and clubs who are keeping German folkloric traditions and garments (Trachten) alive in the modern age. Clara’s portraits show an infectious spirit and enthusiasm for where fashion and history collide.
